The First Baptist Church of Gould, 305 First Street Gould, fed local Gould farmers and the church's 10 workers Saturday, October 3, 2020
The Church fed 90 farmers from seven local farms and their workers as a one day mission project for Acts 1:8. The one day mission trip was supposed to be held in Russellville, AR, but due to COVID-19 concerns the event was held locally in each church's community.
The Church fed the farmers a sack lunch, featuring hamburgers, baked beans, chips, cookies, tomato, pickle and onion for toppings and condiments and fed their souls with religious tracts. The pastor's card were delivered to each farm location. Over 200 hamburgers were prepared.
Pastor Michael Ault said their mission was inspired by the harvest season and what a better way to serve than to feed the farmers lunch. The idea for the lunch is based on Matthew 10:42 “And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.”
