A Southern Arkansas University student was found dead about 3:36 p.m. Wednesday in a room at the Talbot Hall residential dormitory, apparently from natural causes.
The university said in a statement that Carrington Sean Jackson, 22, from Winchester, was found deceased.
Winchester is a small community northeast of Monticello in Drew County.
“We are completely devastated by this horrible news. We are heartbroken for his family, friends and our entire SAU community,” Dr. Trey Berry, SAU president, said in a statement.
The statement said that per protocol, Jackson’s body will be sent to the state Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
