The Friends of the Dumas Library are hosting a fall fundraiser by giving away a LA Metalworks custom-built fire pit. Tickets are available beginning Wednesday, October 27, 2021. Tickets are a $5 donation for a single ticket or a $20 donation for 5 tickets. Tickets can be purchased at the Dumas Library or from Friends of the Library members Marilyn McDonald, Tracey Finch, and other members. The ticket drawing will be at 7:00 pm at Merry Main Street on Thursday, December 2, 2021. The Friends and the Dumas Library will have a booth at the event, offering opportunities to purchase tickets and other little giveaways and games.
The Friends of the Dumas Library holds fundraising events to help support the Library outside of its established budget. This includes special events (i.e. Summer Reading Program), programs, and community activities. Past Friends fundraisers include the annual Valentine candy sale, the pork loin sale, and the Library’s book sales.
Again, tickets are available beginning Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at the Dumas Branch Library or from any member of the Friends of the Dumas Library. Drawing will be held at 7:00 pm at the Merry Main Street festival.
