Dumas Police Department SRO, Patrolman Kristy Freeman was dispatched to Merchants and Farmers Bank Monday, July 11, 2022, at approximately 8:53 am, to take a report for Threatening.
Officer Freeman spoke with Calvin Puryear who stated on two different days, Thomas Clark, of Gould, AR., came into the bank yelling at employees. One the second day Thomas stated I will get my money, I will go to jail but I will get my money.
Puryear stated that Thomas no longer had an account with them and did not want him back at Merchants and Farmers Bank.
Officer Freeman told Puryear there would be a report on file with Dumas Police Department and she also explained the affidavit process.
DOMESTIC BATTERING – 3RD DEGREE, PURPOSE OF CAUSING INJURY, CAUSES INJURY
Dumas Police Department Sgt. Greg Freeman was dispatched to the Dumas Police Department Thursday, July 7, 2022, at approximately 3:22 am, in reference to a fight in progress in front of the Police Department.
Sgt. Freeman made contact with Riquell McCarrell of Dumas. McCarrell stated she was on Cherry St. when Gayland Reed, of Pine Bluff started following her.
McCarrell stated she came to the Police Department for help because he would not leave her alone. She stated that when she got to the Police Dept. Reed pulled in beside her. McCarrell then began using her car horn to hopefully get help.
Reed reportedly grabbed her by her hair and attempted to pull her out of her vehicle. When Reed was unsuccessful he ran to his vehicle and fled the scene.
McCarrell had scratches to her neck and face. However, she refused medical treatment at the time of this report.
Gayland Reed was unable to be located at the time of this report.
McCarrell was advised on where and how to obtain an affidavit for a warrant for Reed.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT, FIGHTING OR VIOLENT, THREATENING, OR TUMULTUOUS BEHAVOR
Dumas Police Department Patrolman W. Green was dispatched to a dispute at the Woodlands Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at approximately 1:03 am.
Patrolman Green made contact with Mrs. Brittney Corbin who stated Mrs. Roshanie Madden was causing issues and provoking a fight.
Mrs.Corbin stated that Mrs. Madden also keyed her door. Mrs. Corbin stated she called the police so a report could be on file in case of an incident.
Both parties were told to stay away from each other.
Mrs. Corbin was advised a police report would be on file at the Dumas Police Department.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – 1ST DEGREE, PROPERTY OF ANOTHER W/VALUE OF $1,000 OR LESS
Dumas Police Department Patrolman W. Green was dispatched to a civilian wanting to make a report, Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at approximately 12:47 am.
Patrolmen Green made contact with Mr. Rushone Meadows. Mr. Meadows told Patrolman Green that his vehicle had been shot up. Green approached the vehicle and could see what appeared to be nine bullet holes..
Mr. Meadows stated he had no outstanding issues with anyone to cause a person to do damage to his vehicle. Mr. Meadows could not give a specific time of the shooting but stated it occurred around 3:00 am.
Mr. Meadows was advised a report would be on file a the Dumas Police Department.
THEFT $1,000 OF LESS – ALL OTHERS
Dumas Police Department Investigator Eric Armstrong was dispatched to a location on N. Main St. Wednesday, July 6, 2022, in reference to property being stolen.
Investigator Armstrong spoke with Marquise Washington who stated he had a blue Sony digital camera stolen by Jonathan Oldner.
Mr. Washington stated he made contact with Mr. Oldner and advised him that he stole his camera. Mr. Oldner stated that Mr. Washington took his pills.
Investigator Armstrong advised Mr. Washington that a report would be on file and where and how to obtain an affidavit for a warrant.
BATTERY – 3RD DEGREE, RECLESSLY CAUSES INJURY; DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Dumas Police Department Investigator Alan Hernandez was dispatched to Woodland Apartments on the Palmetto St. side Saturday, July 9, 2022 at approximately 5:32 pm, regarding a fight.
Roshanie Madden advised Investigator Hernandez that she was in a physical fight with Brittney Corbin. Madden stated that Corbin walked up to Madden, Madden said she 'fought back”.
Corbin stated that on July 3rd she called the Dumas Police Department and reported herself to officers. In her statement to officers, she said she was going to fight Madden if Madden kept “running her mouth”.
Hernandez asked both Corbin and Madden if they fought? They both said they did. Both parties were arrested and transported to Dumas Police Department where they were booked in on Disorderly Conduct and Battery in the third degree.
