Multiple firearms reported Stolen
Dumas Police Officer Hargrove was dispatched Monday, December 28, 2020, to a call at 122 N. John Street after the call advised his house was broken into and multiple firearms were stolen.
Mr. Dylan Tew told Officer Hargrove that there was no forced entry to his home, and that the front door was unlocked. Mr. Tew stated a total of six firearms were stolen from his residence between 2 pm. And 8:30 pm on 12/28/2020.
Mr. Tew advised that a Bergara B-14 30-06 rifle, a Savage 110 Ultra 6.5PRC with a Leupold VX-5 HD scope, a Ruger Wrangler revolver and a 12-gauge Benelli Nova shotgun were stolen along with a few other firearms including a 25-06 and another revolver.
Mr. Tew was advised to locate the serial numbers and all the information he could and bring the information to the Police Department as soon as possible.
At approximately 9:30 pm Mr. Tew call the Police Department stating he had received information about a dark colored Honda SUV that was at his house earlier in the day, and that a white male got out of the vehicle.
Officer Hargrove advised Mr. Tew, that a report would be on file.
