Curtis Cornelious is the son in law of former resident James & the late Deloris Jackson. James was the driving force in Curtis getting involved in his community. I have always admired his drive and his passion.
This win was significant for me, not only was the run-off election on my wife’s birthday, also I shared with my mother in law and my father who both passed away in the last year my intentions on running for Mayor and they were not here to witness the historic win. Furthermore, my father in law lost his bid for Dumas mayor by a small margin in a run-off election in 2010. This win was for him because he set the foundation for me.
Little Elm has a population of about 53,000 and it is about 45 minutes of Dallas, Texas. Curtis is from Helena, Arkansas. Curtis is married to Charlet Jackson Cornelious a graduate of Dumas High School 1995 and they have three children Stephanie, Christian and Collyn.r
