The Friends of the Library purchased a new bench on honoring former Friends of the Library President Jo Carol Gill. The bench built by Jared McDonald of LA Metal Works created the bench out of wood and metal with the LA Metal Works Logo on the sides and a plaque honoring Gill. The Friends of the Library formed in 1993 after building of the Dumas Branch Library at its Choctaw location. Gill was president from 1998-2003.
