The Desha County Chapter of Compassionate Friends will be hosting their World Wide Candle Lighting Sunday, December 10, 2023 at the Dumas Community Center at 6 pm. The Desha County Chapter invites everyone and their family to join them as they honor the memories of their children. They will be lighting a candle for children who have died.
The ceremony will include greetings, readings, musical selections, a candle lighting ceremony, and reception.
The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting unites family and friends around the glob in lighting candles for one hour to honor the memories of the sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and grandchildren (all children) who have died, but will never be forgotten.
Those who would like to have their child's name placed on the memorial roll, or picture placed on the memorial board many contact the chapter at one of the numbers below.
