Dumas native, Aaron Joseph, also known as Aj Charisma, is supporting Dumas through raising awareness on the prevention of violence in Dumas' youth through a weekly podcast. Joseph is working with Arthur L. Hunt Jr. at JoyNet radio in Little Rock through the “JOY” podcast.
Joseph was born in Oklahoma, but was raised in Dumas since the age of six. He is also an aspiring artist and is using his platform to bring attention to the increasing violence in Dumas' youth.
At the early age of ten, Joseph had a love for music and began his musical journey. Now at the age of 23, Joseph has his own record label “ATM” with five already signed.
This past February, Joseph spoke at the Dumas Chamber of Commerce, speaking on his experience as a student at the Little Rock campus of Digital Art Technology College, to help bring a campus to Dumas with the help of The College of Aspiring Artists.
All artists that are signed to Joseph's label are all Dumas natives. Michael Wormley, Treshaun Lane, Makayla Evans, Kelly Johnson, and Tyler Paschal are those that are signed to the label. Visit JoyNet Radio for more.
