Dumas Police Department CID Eric Armstrong arrested Roshanie Madden of Dumas Monday, January 9, 2023 at approximately 6:05 pm. Details of the arrest were not available.

Dumas Police Department officer Kristy Freeman arrested 38 year old Daniel Williams of Dumas Monday, January 2, 2023 at approximately 10:06 am. Details of the arrest were not available.

Dumas Police Department Officer Raydon Findley arrested 29 year old Tarnisha Harris Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at approximately 11:41 pm. Details of the arrest were not available.
INFORMATION REPORT
Dumas Police Department CID Alan Hernandez advised Mr. Lamars Davis surrendered his firearm to the Dumas Police Department Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at approximately 9:07 pm. Davis was advised that he did not want to hurt anyone so therefore he surrendered his firearm to the Dumas Police Department. The gun was ran through ACIC and was placed in the Dumas Police Department evidence locker for safe keeping.
CRIMINAL MISHCHIEF – 1ST DEGREE / PROPERTY OF ANONTHER VALUE $500 OR MORE; BATTERY – 2ND DEGREE / PURPOSE OF CAUSING INJURY, CAUSES INJURY WITH A WEAPON; TERRORISTIC THREATENING
Dumas Police Department Officers were dispatched to South Cherry St. in reference of a fight in progress. Ms. Madden stated on the phone that her ex-girlfriend Tanisa Harris was back at her house breaking all the windows. Ms. Madden stated Ms. Harris was trying to fight her.
Upon arrival, Officers were met by Tarnisha Harris. Ms. Harris came out of the house with her hands up stating, “I broke the windows, I'm ready to go to jail.” Officer Nalls placed Ms. Harris in handcuffs.
Ms. Harris had blood all over her arms. Sgt. Crystal Martin asked Ms. Harris did sh cut herself breaking all the windows and she stated no. Ms. Harris stated Ms. Madden cut her with a knife.
Officers asked Ms. Harris where was the knife and Ms. Madden?
Ms. Harris stated the knife was still inside the home but Ms. Madden was gone. Ms. Madden was not in the area upon officers arrival.
Officers walked into the house with Ms. Harris. The house was in disarray with glass all over the floor. They walked in the kitchen area where an oven mitten was noticed on top of a gas stove that was lit on fire. Sgt. Martin was able to remove the oven mitten and put the fire out. Sgt. Martin asked Ms. Harris did she set it on fire and she stated no, Roshanie did it. Officers were unable to locate the knife.
Ms. Madden arrived back on the scene.
Ms. Madden stated her and Kenneth Serell along with other people including children were sitting in the living room joking around. Ms. Madden stated Ms. Harris got mad and swung at her.
Ms. Madden stated Ms. Harris tried to set her apartment on fire after she left because it was not like that before.
Sgt. Martin spoke with Kenneth Serell and he stated they were joking at first when Ms. Harris “Tee”' got mad and started breaking all the windows.
CID Alan Hernandez spoke with the home owner who stated it cost $500 per window to get fix. There were approximately six widows broken.
Ms. Harris was told that if she came back she would be arrested for Criminal Trespassing. Ms. Harris was placed in the patrol unit and transported to Dumas Jail.
She has been charged with Felony Criminal Mischief over $1000.
UPDATE:
Dumas Police Department CID Eric Armstrong interviewed Ms. Harris Wednesday, January 4, 2023 about the incident that happened at a residence on South Cherry. During the interview she stated her and Ms. Madden got into an argument over both of them cheating and bringing other people in to their home. Ms. Harris stated that Ms. Madden then struck her in the face.
Harris did show a small cut on the inside of her top lip. Harris then stated that Madden went in to the kitchen and got a large torch and threatened to burn her and burn the house down with her and the other girl in it. Harris stated that they bean to get into a physical altercation after that where Madden stated hitting her with the torn.
Harris stated someone took the torch away from her and Madden told her Goddaughter to go get the bat and Madden and began to hit her in the head and arms with it. She then showed CID Armstrong the bruises that that came up after being struck with the bat on her arms. Harris stated after she struck Madden with a chair, her cousin Kenny broke the fight up. Harris then stated that she walked outside and began to break out all of the windows. Ms. Harris stated that she did want to press charges on her for hitting her with the bat and threatening to burn her.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS ON LAND / LAWFULLY POSTED
Dumas Police Department Officer Kristy Freeman was dispatched to Pistachio Monday, January 2, 2023 to take a report about someone trespassing. When Officer Freeman arrived she spoke with Kizzy Mondragon who stated her cousin was going in her home and had changed all the locks.
Mondragon stated she did not give her permission to be in the home and advised her not to go in. Officer Freeman explained to Mondragon there would be a report on file at the Dumas Police Department and about the affidavit process.
TERRORISTIC THREATENING – 2ND DEGREE / THREATENS PROPERTY DAMAGE
Dumas Police Department Officer Nathan Donaldson was dispatched to EXXON on Highway 65 Friday, January 6, 2023 at approximately 1:52 AM, about a person who made threats to 22 year old Shadorian Havis of Russellville, Ar. When Officer Donaldson arrived Shadorian Havis stated that 26 year old Leondrick Lavarius Jackson of Dumas, came into the store and threatened to shoot her and beat up her ex boyfriend.
Also Leondrick Jackson sent Shadorian Havis text stating he was going to get his cousin to beat her up and that he was going to handle him (the ex boyfriend) himself.
Officer Donaldson advised her of the warrant process and that a report would be on file.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – 1ST DEGREE PROPERTY OF ANOTHER VALUE $500 OR LESS
Complainant 69 year old Curtis Allen of Dumas, came into the Dumas PD to report damage to his vehicle. Mr. Allen stated on Sunday, January 1, 2023 he noticed a bullet hole on his trunk. He stated he believed it happened during the shooting of early morning New Year Day.
Dumas Police Department Sgt. Crystal Martin advised Mr. Allen a report will be on file.
ASSUALT
Dumas Police Department Officer Kristy Freeman wad called to the Dumas Jail Monday, January 2, 2023, to assist with a shower for Daniel Williams due to him being on suicide watch. After the shower, Williams tried to take soap, towel and other items back in his cell. Officer Freeman asked him to leave the items in the hall. He would not comply.
Williams went in his cell and tried to close the door and started trying to hide things like bags full of string. Officer Freeman asked Williams several times to move to the back of the cell. He kept moving towards the officer in an aggressive manner.
Officer Freeman told Williams not to get any closer. Williams kept trying to jump at Officer Freeman when she told him if he did not comply she would spray him.
Williams then spit on Officer Freeman and lunged toward her. Officer Freeman sprayed Williams with pepper spray. She called dispatch and advised them of what occurred.
CPL Armstrong and Sgt. Freeman came to the jail and advised Officer Freeman to fill out use of force paperwork and a report.
BATTERY – 2ND DEGREE / PURPOSE OF CAUSING INJURY, CAUSES SERIOUS INJURY
Dumas Police Department Sgt. Greg Freeman was dispatched to 110 East Banks Saturday, December 31, 2022 at approximately 3:13 am, in reference to a person that had been assaulted.
When Sgt. Freeman arrived he located a black male lying face down in the parking lot of the True Harvest Church parking lot.
The male, identified as 56 year old Maurice Smith of Dumas, appeared to be unconscious and bleeding from the nose and forehead.
At that time, CID Investigator Alan Hernandez was notified. Investigator Hernandez arrived at approximately 3:19 am. Dumas EMS transported Smith to Delta Memorial and the scene was turned over to Investigator Hernandez for further investigation.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – 1ST DEGREE PROPERTY OF ANOTHER VALUE $500 OR LESS
Dumas Police Department Officer Raydon Findley was dispatched to a location on W. Choctaw St Sunday, January 1, 2023 at approximately 1:00 am, for a broken window.
Upon arrival Officer Findley was met by Mr. Brian Watkins who informed him that he believed a stray bullet had come through his window. Upon investigation, it was confirmed that a stray bullet did come through his back bedroom window. No other property wad damaged.
Officer Findley informed Mr. Watkins that a report would be on file.
COERCION / CAUSING DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
Dumas Police Department Officer Kristy Freeman was dispatched to Family Dollar for an accident Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at approximately 6:52 pm.
Officer Freeman spoke to Natasha Murrell who stated that the men that wee working there from Concept Construction were pushing out a cart with metal shelves on it when they all fell off onto Murrell's car.
The men that were working there stated the same thing as Murrell. Their business and insurance information was obtained. Officer Freeman advised all parties there would be a report on file at Dumas Police Department.
UNLAWFUL DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM FROM A VEHICLE
Dumas Police Department Officer Nathan Donaldson received a call about shots fired Friday, December 30, 2022 at approximately 11:00 pm.
When Officer Donaldson arrived, he found no one injured and found shell casings. The case was turned over to CID for further investigation.
HARRASSMENT / IN PUBLIC INSULTS, TAUNTS, OR CHALLENGES ANOTHER TO PROVOKE; TERRORISTIC THREATENING
Dumas Police Department Investigator Alan Hernandez took a report from Ruthie Robinson Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Robinson walked into the Dumas PD wanting to file a report.
Robinson stated that Are'osha Bynum and Vatasha Railey were talking bad about her on Facebook
Hernandez asked Robinson if she could specify, she state “ugly stuff”. Robinson then advised Hernandez that Bynum and Railey made a comment that they would beat her up.
Hernandez advised Robinson that a report would be on file and explained the affidavit process.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – 1ST DEGREE / PROPERTY OF ANOTHER OF $1000 OF LESS
On Wednesday, December 28, 2022 Shannon Fitzgerald of Dumas stated that while her 2016 Nissan Maxima was parked at #5 Mistletoe someone cut all four tires with an unknown object.
During the time of this report there were no known suspects.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – 1ST DEGREE PROPERTY OF ANOTHER VALUED $500 OR LESS
Dumas Police Department Officer Raydon Findley was dispatched to South Cherry St for a disturbance Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at approximately 11:20 am.
Upon arrival Officer Findley was met by Ms. Roshanie Madden who informed him that she wanted Ms. Tanisha Harris out of her apartment.
Officer Findley tried speaking with Ms. Harris but her and Ms. Madden were constantly arguing with each other. Eventually Ms. Harris let her emotions get the best of her and stated that if the Officer was going to remove her from the property then she would give the Officer a reason and continued to storm outside. On her way outside she slammed Ms. Madden's TV on the ground. As she got outside she grabbed a bat and then smashed Ms. Madden's window.
Ms. Harris was arrested and brought to the Dumas Police Department for Criminal Mischief. She was cited and released and instructed not to go back to Ms. Madden's.
The next morning, Ms. Harris came to the Police Station and left a statement claiming that Ms. Madden had threatened to shoot her and attempted to stab her multiple times.
Ms. Harris did not mention any of this during the course of events in the night prior.
