The Honorable Judge Melinda French swore-in the The Desha County Sheriff Department staff at the January 1, 2023.
The staff includes:
Chief Deputy- Jonathan Byrd. Byrd has previous experience includes Dumas P.D., Desha County S.O. and Arkansas Game & Fish.
Sergeant-Roland Brown. Sgt. Brown is a 30 year Veteran of the Desha County Sheriff’s Office, and is loyal to our County. His experience will be a huge asset, and I will be the fifth Sheriff that Roland has worked for.
Criminal Investigator- Mark Allen. His previous experience includes the Dumas Police Department, Drew County Sheriff’s Office, Boward County Sheriff’s Office, and most recently Assist. Chief/Investigator at McGehee P.D.
Administrative Assistant- Laine Patterson, brings 18 years of experience to this position from Chicot County. When you visit the Office, Laine will be the first one you see. She has a heart for people and is great at what she does.
Deputy Brandon Posey, brings a decade of experience from both Dumas P.D. And the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. He is a legacy Law Enforcement Officer, and has continued the family tradition.
Deputy Reshawn Bledsoe- Began his career at the Pine Bluff Police Department, and most recently served as a Jefferson County G.R.I.P. Investigator. Deputy Wayna Green, comes to us from the Dumas Police Department where I have watched him grow into a fine young Officer.
