On Thursday December 16, leaders from across the state will converge in Dumas for a day being celebrated as “Arkansas is REDI.” REDI, is Rural Economic Development Innovation.
Dumas was one of 47 national recipients that received the 2019 award. Since the award, the Dumas REDI leaders have distributed over $700,000 in food, produced and presented programs from Dumas to DC ranging from creative talent and awards programs to health, wellness education events.
Dumas REDI leaders, The College of Aspiring Artists, ASC Property Management, THE LEGACY CENTER in West Dumas and new partners are seeking support from businesses and community foundations to join the efforts for 2022 by attending this end of the year forum and distribution.
Dr. Lane Rolling of Las Vegas will share an important message relating to the state of COVID and the many variants. Arkansas Black Mayor’s Association President, Mayor Julian Lott (keynote speaker) and others will share in a pluralized message that deals with a statewide tour dealing with the plight of Arkansas and especially African Americans, ranging from poverty, violence to prosperity.
