Boys & Girls Club of McGehee has grown in new ways in the past couple of months. One of the major contributors to this growth has been the opening of the Teen Center. This week, the Teen Center saw its biggest numbers since opening, bringing in 47 students.
The McGehee Library visited the center and hosted an activity of painting with chocolate for the students. On Wednesday, some employees from UAM’s College of Technology campus came to the center and played games with students.
Next month they will be bringing an EMT simulator for the students to try, and the students will be taught more about what college courses they can take while still being in high school.
The Club had a great week of fun with the children, and the Club is excited to welcome students back after Spring Break.
