Betty Jean Humphreys, 86, of Watson, Arkansas, passed away June 18, 2021, in Texarkana, Arkansas. Born January 5, 1935, in Hollis, Arkansas. She was the daughter of D.E. (Pat) Douthit, Sr. and Grace E. Douthit. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Archie Everett Humphreys), brother (Delbert E. Douthit, Jr.) and grandson (Patrick Alan Dickey).
Betty was a member of Pea Ridge Assembly of God Church, and also attended Watson Assembly of God Church, Watson, Arkansas.
Survivors are her son, Dr. James (Cindy) Humphreys of Hot Springs, and two daughters, Deborah (Lane) Mason of Texarkana, and Sandra (Atwood) Browning of Russellville, two brothers, Hershel Douthit of Pine Bluff and Harold Douthit of Watson, and a sister, Cora Humphreys of Watson, (all of Arkansas), six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation and service will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12 PM - 2 PM with service beginning at 2 PM. Burial will immediately follow at Watson Cemetery, Watson, Arkansas. Rick Humphreys and Roger Pierce will officiate.
