Daryl Don McGehee, 51 of Cave Springs, AR passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021. He was born in Pine Bluff, AR on March 26, 1970 to Linda Frizzell Wilson and the late Jimmy McGehee.
He spent his childhood years in Dumas, AR, where he graduated from Dumas High School in 1988. After graduating from the University of Arkansas, he spent his entire career working as a computer analyst for JB Hunt in Lowell, AR. An avid Razorback and overall sports fan, Daryl’s favorite sporting events were the ones where he watched his son Christopher play. He was a proud uncle to Eli and Sam, and most importantly, he was a Christian.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Helen Frizzell and Houston and Maxine McGehee.
Survivors include his son, Christopher McGehee of Springdale, AR; his mother, Linda Wilson of Hot Springs Village, AR; one sister, Tammy (David) Layman of San Antonio, TX; and two nephews, Eli and Sam Layman of San Antonio, TX.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2021, from 9:30 to 10:00AM at Best Cemetery in Star City, AR and will be followed by graveside services at 10:00AM with Bro. BJ Duvall officiating. Memorials may be made in Daryl’s memory to donor’s choice of charity.
