Kenneth Dean Millerd, 82 of McGehee, Arkansas passed away August 15, 2021. Kenneth was born July 22, 1939, in Jerome, Arkansas the son of the late Lemuel “Pip” Millerd and Maude May Williams Millerd. His parents, wife Velma Millerd, son Keith Millerd, two brothers Grayson and Jess Millerd, four sisters Jimmie Greenway, Sylvia Reid, Vivian Martin and Glynne Overton.
Kenneth was owner of Millerd’s Grocery Store in Arkansas City for 20 years, and served in the Arkansas Army National Guard. He loved the outdoors, he use to play golf, loved to mow his yard, he loved to coon and squirrel hunt and also worked on the farm for his son in law for 3 years.
Survivors are his daughter Paula (Danny) Day of Tillar, Arkansas one brother Jim Tom Millerd of Stuttgart, Arkansas, and three grandchildren Josh Millerd of Monticello, Arkansas, Nathan Millerd of Phoenix Arizona and Bradley (Allison) Day of Tillar, Arkansas and one great grandchild Wells Rooks. Special friends and care takers, Shirley and Tony Danzy and Drew Sims.
Graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Jefferson Cemetery with Rev. Reuel Cruce and Rev. Dubs Byers officiating with burial following.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Dumas, Arkansas or Sheriffs Youth Ranch.
