Kirby Ronald McElroy, 60 of Selma, Arkansas passed away September 23, 2021. Kirby was born June 24, 1961, in Dermott, Arkansas the son of Irvin and Betty Lou Beavers McElroy.
Kirby was a good-hearted man who loved his family and devoted his time-off to them. His grandchildren were his world. He was low-keyed and a true friend to those who knew him.
Kirby was an avid outdoorsman and a self-proclaimed “Professional” fisherman.
He will be truly missed by all and most especially by his best friend and wife Becca.
Kirby was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, was assistant superintendent at Clearwater, employed for 39 years.
Survivors are his wife, Rebecca Austin McElroy of Selma, Arkansas, Parents Irvin and Betty McElroy of Watson, Arkansas, two sons Seth McElroy of Selma, Arkansas, and Kane (Catelynn) Mcelroy of Mount Tabor, Arkansas, three brothers, Dub (Lorri) McElroy of Carbondale, Kansas, Grady (Jodi) McElroy of Watson, Arkansas, Kevin McElroy of Topeka, Kansas and one sister LaJuan Scales of Lake Village, Arkansas and four grandchildren Jade, Erin, Elliott, and Carson.
Visitation was held Sunday, September 26, 2021, from 2-4pm, Griffin Funeral Home. Funeral service was held 11 AM on Monday, September 27, 2021, graveside at Jefferson Cemetery with Rev. Bill McGinnis officiating.
