Ruth Peacock Osburn, 84 of Dumas, Arkansas passed away August 19, 2021. Born April 13, 1937, Florence (Drew County) Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late, Tom Richard Peacock and Ethel Vivian Walters Peacock. Her parents, husband J.W. Osburn and brother Delbert Peacock and sister Francis Hunnicutt. preceded her in death.
Ruth was a member of Rankin Chapel Baptist Church. She was a graduated of McGehee High School and had been employed by both Sunbeam and Dollar General.
Survivors are three sons, John C. Osburn of Port Allen, Louisiana, Terry (Darlene) Osburn of White Hall, Arkansas and Kenneth Osburn of Dermott, Arkansas and one daughter Lisa (Joe) Schnabel of Bremerton, Washington, two brothers Henry Peacock of Star City, Arkansas and Paul R. Peacock of McGehee, Arkansas, 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Her children and grandchildren were her life!
Visitation held from 5 – 7 PM, Monday August 23, 2021, at Griffin Funeral Home. Funeral services held 2 PM, Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Griffin Funeral Home with Rev. Monty Meeks and Rev. Chris Baxter officiating with burial following at Walnut Lake Cemetery. Memorials may be made Rankin Chapel Baptist Church or St Jude Children’s Hospital or Arkansas Hospice.
