Tommy Eldridge Boothe, 84, of Harrison, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 12, 1937, at Pottsville to William Riley and Myrtle Opal Blevins Boothe. He married Miss Mary Doris Apple on April 2, 1960, at Dardanelle, and was a United States Navy veteran. He was a mechanic for many years working on big trucks and farm equipment. He loved KFC, fishing, riding his four-wheeler, and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Kyle Riley; a sister, Francis McEntire; and seven brothers, William Ray, Isaac Abraham, Franklin Delanor, Rodney Groundy, Jackie Wayne, Freddie Lee, and Bobby Joe Boothe.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mary D. Boothe of Harrison; a son, David Boothe of Branson, Missouri; two daughters and a son-in-law, Tena Lynn and Greg Battles of Harrison, and Tammy Kay Mertens of Harrison; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, James Edward and Darlene Boothe of Dumas; and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Holt Memorial Chapel with Bro. Larry Anderson officiating. Military honors will be provided by the United States Navy during the service. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be private in the family cemetery near Lead Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Holt Memorial Chapel.
