Pastor Jones welcomed board members Jon Walters, Shirley Teeter and Heather Harris and non-members Leah Osbahr, CEO, Vicki Allen, CFO and Dr. Sara Franklin to the Delta Memorial Hospital Board of Directors Meeting Thursday, August 26, 2021. Jones thanked everyone for their time.
Osbahr announced the providers who have been recommended by the medical staff including: Catherine Briana Lions, RN-Wound Care, Autumn Leigh Wyeth, DO Pathology, Jennifer Kim MD Tele-Radiology and Katherine Steward MD Pathology. Walters made motion to accept the recommendations of the medical staff, Harris seconded. Motion passed.
Osbahr updated the board with the financial report for the month ending June, 30. Net revenue was $1,145,390; expenses $1,651,059. Walters made a motion to accept the financial report with a second by Harris. The motion passed.
Shirley Teeter gave an update on the Delta Health Service renovation, which is now complete. With the total cost of the project at $1,782,603.63, DMH received $1,526,070.52 through pledges and donations. It was the engagement and support of the community that made this project possible, allowing us to better serve the people in Desha and the surrounding counties.
Osbahr reported on the following informational items:
*Dr. Sara Franklin was appointed Chief of Staff at the most recent Medical Staff Meeting
*Valerie Russworm stepped down as CNO; Dana miles has accepted the role of interim CNO
*Revenue cycle analysis and selection of a new billing company was discussed
An update was given on COVID cases in the area
Grants in process include: SHIP $257,732; Blue and You $115,000 (approval pending) and the COVID validation grant for $50,000
DMH is working toward establishing an Infusion Center
