Won’t you help a neighbor? AETN, more than 60 libraries, including the Dumas Branch Library, and numerous local Arkansas charities are ready to collect new or gently used sweaters and winter clothing for the 2023 Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood Sweater Drive.
Community members are asked to donate new or gently used sweaters and winter clothing at the Dumas Branch Library, 120 E. Choctaw Street. A collection box for the sweaters is located prominently within the library. Items collected during this event will be distributed to Dumas neighbors in need.
Last year, Arkansans donated over 5,000 sweaters for neighbors in need; as what promises to be another chilly winter descends across the state, organizers hope to collect more than the previous year’s amount to help even more neighbors.
Fred Rogers shared his timeless wisdom for more than 40 years on "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood," and his legacy continues through the Neighborhood Sweater Drive. For more information and a complete list of all participating libraries, visit https://www.aetn.org/sweaterdrive.
