Floats, vehicles, atvs, bands and more paraded down Dumas' streets Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Mother nature changed the date of the parade with a rain changing the date of the parade. The winners o f the 2025 Christmas parade are Overall: Merchant & Farmers Bank, 1st place floats: St. Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, 1st place vehicles: Desha County Officials, 1st place in ATVs: Lizeth Jimenez, 1st Place in Walking: Girl Scout Troop #1101 and 1place in other: Dumas Fire Department. Pictured above is the Merchant & Farmers Bank Float.

Reed Elementary held their Christmas Musical for Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade December 3, 2025. “There’s nothing like parental support—both academically and during the special events we host here at Reed Elementary School. Our students performed exceptionally well at today’s Christmas musical!” The school said.
