Merchants & Farmers Bank of Dumas presents $1,000 dollar check to Desha Co. Salvation Army

The Merchant and Farmers Bank of Dumas presented Jason Martin, Desha County Salvation Army Manager and volunteers Susan Walt and Linda Walt with a check for $1,000. L. Walt said they appreciate the support Merchant and Farmers and the whole community provides. The money will be used to help the people of Desha County with light and gas bills. All the money collected will be used in Desha County.

“Due to Covid 19, we have seen and increase in people needing help and we truly hope that the virus does not impact giving this year,” Martin said.

The Salvation Army Red Buckets will soon be seen around town on the following dates:Mad Butcher on November 28 and December 12, Piggly Wiggly on December 4 and 11, Pickens Country Store and Restaurant on Thursday, December 10.
