Tammi T. Peterson, 50, born in Dumas on October 26, 1970 died Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at her residence in Flint Ml. She is the daughter of Ruby Chatman and Johnny James Sr.
At an early age she confessed Christ and was baptized. She was a member of Empowered Believers Church of Flint, Ml. She graduated from Flint Northern class of 89. She received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Jordan College and obtained her Medical Assistant Certification from Ross Medical Education Center in Flint, Ml.
She created the Ruby Jewell's Deserving Mothers award after losing her mother. Once a year, she would select a deserving mother and present them with a special custom-made Mother's Day gift.
She loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren creating a host of family traditions. She loved shopping with her daughters, going to basketball games (Lebron Baby), traveling with her husband, singing, and bringing laughter into our lives. She truly had a heart of gold and would give you her last.
She was preceded in dead by Mother Ruby Chatman, Step-Father Lee Chatman, Son Kerry Ballard Jr, Grandparents Zack & Erma Jones, Grandparents Jessie & Nettie Lee James, In-Laws Willie & Betty Peterson and a host of special aunts & uncles.
Survivors include husband- Demetrius Peterson Sr.; three daughters- Cherisha (Kerry) Ballard of Ml, Tashae (James) Freeman of TX, and Tramesha Peterson of Ml; Special daughter- De'Asha Kidd of Ml; three sons- Demetrius (Shardae) Peterson Jr. of Ml, Anthony (Petrina) Miller Sr. of VA, Shelton Lynch of Ml; three sisters-Mariel James of AR, Erica (Lawrence) Nelson of AR, Sister-in-Law Patricia Peterson of Ml; 4 brothers- Johnny (Tezma) James Jr. of TX,, Patrick Castro of AR, Brothers-ln-Law Cory Peterson of Ml & Eric (Toni) Peterson of Ml; 13 grandchildren.
