The Desha County Democratic Committee voted Friday, June 5, 2026, to select Dumas Police Chief Jamie Donaldson as its nominee for Desha County sheriff.
County Chair Charles Killion said the committee chose Donaldson over former Desha County Sheriff Larry Allen by a vote of 16-3.
