The Nation's Weather for Sunday, July 30, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Severe thunderstorms with the potential to produce hail,
damaging wind gusts and even some tornadoes are expected to
track across Montana tomorrow afternoon and evening,
eventually reaching Nebraska at night. Farther southwest,
monsoon thunderstorm activity will again fire up across the
Southwest, particularly the Four Corners region, with dry
conditions for the West Coast. The South will again face
sweltering heat as high pressure remains firmly in place,
but thunderstorms may bring temporary relief to some in the
Southeast. Thunderstorms are also possible northward into
parts of the mid-Atlantic as a cold front continues to dip
into the region. Behind that front, cooler conditions will
spread across the Northeast as the humidity also lowers,
making for a more comfortable day.
