The Nation's Weather for Sunday, September 3, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Heavy rain and thunderstorms will impact much of the West
tomorrow, leading to localized areas of flooding. The region
that will likely be hit the hardest by the flooding rainfall
will be from Nevada into western Montana. East Texas to
Mississippi will experience thunderstorms as well, mainly in
the afternoon. This will lead to a lower change for
flooding, but it will still be possible in isolated areas.
Extreme heat for early September is on the way for Minnesota
and Wisconsin. Temperatures are expected to be in the 90s
which could lead to daily record-breaking heat in spots.
Fortunately, much of the Northeast is expected to be dry.
The only area of concern would be a spotty shower or two
across Maine; otherwise, dry and warm conditions are
expected across the region.
