NATIONAL SUMMARY
As a storm exits slowly eastward through the day tomorrow,
downpours will again drench parts of the Northeast and
southern New England, at least during the morning. A
generally lighter combination of rain and drizzle will
extend south of there along the mid-Atlantic coastline for a
time, with brighter skies and dry conditions from the
interior Northeast through the eastern Great Lakes, much of
the Midwest and most of the South and the Southeast.
Thunderstorms will remain widespread across the Florida
Peninsula, also stretching into southern portions of Texas,
in the vicinity of a stalled front. A separate storm will
bring afternoon storms, some with damaging winds, from
western Nebraska to eastern New Mexico. A powerful storm
will drop rain from western Montana across California.
