The Nation's Weather for Saturday, May 14, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A broad area of showers is expected in the Midwest and
Northeast tomorrow, along with warm, humid air. Farther
south into Virginia, the Carolinas and the Ohio Valley, a
few thunderstorms may be embedded within any showers.
Meanwhile, a separate area of thunderstorms is expected,
from Kansas to Wisconsin and northern Michigan. A few of
these storms may turn severe, with damaging winds, hail and
isolated flash flooding as the main concerns. In the Pacific
Northwest, a storm system will bring additional rain and
mountain snow. Most accumulating snowfall will remain above
pass levels. The continuation of dry weather in the
Southwest will allow wildfires to easily develop, although
winds will be calmer than recent days.
