The Desha County Sheriff Department Deputies and the Arkansas Department of Transportation responded to a tractor-trailer rollover crash on U.S. Highway 65 north of McGehee Sunday, January 5, 2025.
The crash occurred at 12:20 pm closing southbound lanes. until 5:53 pm. They split northbound lanes to utilize the right lane for northbound traffic and the left lane for southbound traffic. Drivers were cautioned to drive slowly. The Sheriff's department thanked Wayne Edwards Towing, ARDOT Supervisor Terry King and his crew at Desha County ARDOT, Cpl. Chris Hawkins, and McGehee Fire/Rescue, for assisting Sheriff Department Deputies on the 9 hour crash scene. The driver received minor injuries.
