Eunice Marcelle Jones Odaware, 92 of Gillett, Arkansas passed away in Dewitt, Arkansas on March 30, 2022. She was born December 6, 1929, in Amory, Mississippi and was the daughter of the late Eddie Jones and Leona Stanford Jones. Her parents, husband Frazier Ray Odaware, son Paul Odaware, grandson Billy Ray Pearson and granddaughter Kimberly Pearson, two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Eunice was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, and a homemaker. Eunice was known to everyone as Granny and loved everyone she met. She enjoyed gardening and keeping her grandchildren. Granny especially loved her church and church family.
Survivors are one son Gary (Sissy) Odaware of Gillett, Arkansas and two daughters Marian (Richard) Pearson of Lake Providence, Louisiana, and Peggy (John) Boyte of Lake Providence, Louisiana one sister Louise Fortenberry of Tallulah, Louisiana and five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Visitation and graveside funeral services held on Monday, April 4, 2022, at Lake Providence Memorial Park in Lake Providence, Louisiana. Visitation from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm followed by services at 2:00 pm. with Tommy Swafford officiating and burial following. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Home, Dumas, AR.
