Marion Jane Newton Purtle 78 of Dumas, Arkansas passed away May 5, 2022, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Jane was born January 22, 1944, in Dumas, Arkansas and was the daughter of the late Sanford Morris Newton and Dixie Smart Newton. Her parents, daughter Teresa Pfeifer, sister Joyce Wood and husband Cliff Purtle, all preceded her in death.
Jane was a graduate of Tillar High School and a member of Tillar United Methodist Church. She enjoyed nothing more in life than God and spending time with friends and family. She will be missed more than words can say.
Survivors are son Jack Throneberry and his wife Leah and two grandchildren Noah and Jade Throneberry, all of Bryant, Arkansas, a sister Rebecca Slaughter of Little Rock, numerous nieces and nephews, cousin, countless friends and loved ones.
Memorial service held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Tillar Methodist Church with Dr. Tandy Hanson officiating.
