Sherlon Knight 84 of Gould, Arkansas passed away July 29, 2022, in West Monroe, Louisiana. Sherlon was born on November 15, 1937, in Gould, Arkansas the son of the late J.O. and Chrystal J. Ashcraft Knight. His parents and wife, Carolyn S. Bradley Knight, son Kenneth Douglas Knight and four brothers, Carl Knight, Maurice Knight, Delmon Knight, and Thomas “Tom” Knight all preceded him in death.
Sherlon was a lifelong member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. He was a area farmer for years in Lincoln County, Arkansas. A 32* mason and member of Delta Lodge # 752. Also served on the Gould School board, he retired from Arkansas Department of Corrections. Sherlon served in United State Army from1956-1957 and was stationed in Germany.
Survivors are two sons, Bruce (Ann) Knight of West Monroe, Louisiana, and Kevin (Lori) Knight of Bentonville, Arkansas, four sisters, Freda Bethea of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Lyndell Bradley (Joe) of Grady, Arkansas, Nedra Castleberry (Woodie) of Gould, Arkansas and Melba Bradley of Gould, Arkansas, four grandchildren Jacob, Andrew (Desi), Kyle and Chloe.
Visitation and funeral services held Monday, August 1, 2022, from 10:00 am-11:00 am at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel, with funeral services following at 11:00 am, and burial in Dark Corner Cemetery, Gould, Arkansas.
