“Sudy Peterson” Susan Pauline Goodwin, of Dumas, AR, peacefully passed away in her sleep on February 19, 2022. Sudy was born June 3, 1949, in Henderson, TX, to the late Wilma (Hocking) and Robert “Pete” Peterson. She was preceded in death by her siblings Clara (Lammers) Clark and Clarence Lammers.
Sudy was full of life, and had a beautiful smile. She was sometimes described as a “Firecracker”. She never met a stranger. She loved to be around and meet new people and share stories of her granddaughters and family.
Sudy had spent her last years in Connecticut with her family, however, her heart was always in Arkansas. She loved her granddaughters and enjoyed watching them play their sports, having dance parties in the kitchen, and making everyone laugh. She had a love for horse racing and always up for a good card game.
She is survived by her daughter, Valerie and husband Tony, and two granddaughters, Olivia and Sophia DiBella, of Avon, CT. There will be a Celebration of Life on April 2, at 11:30 at Walnut Lake Cemetery.
