Verna Lee Aldridge Hood 88, of Dumas, AR passed away December 8, 2022 in Star City, AR. She was born August 10, 1934 in Story, AR to the late Vernis and Rena Holmes Aldridge. She was preceded in death by, five sisters, Lessie Aldridge, Estelle Yarbrough, Lois Singleton, Essie Stahl and Virgie Aldridge and one brother Paul Aldridge.
Verna was a member of First Baptist Church of Dumas where she was Sunday school teacher for 45-50 years, was bookkeeper of Meador Pharmacy for 59 years, she loved to work, and in her past time she loved to sew and crochet.
Survived by her husband Quinton Hood, one daughter Karen (Bruce) Irons of Dumas, one sister Wanda Sandlin of Grants Pass, Oregon, one grandson, Zachary (Amy) Hinkle, three great grandchildren Abigail, Zoe and Jacob and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation Saturday, December 10,2022 from 1:00-2:00pm with service following at 2:00pm at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dubs Byers officiating. Burial at Walnut Lake Cemetery.
