William Carter Moore 70, of Dumas passed away January 6, 2023, in Dumas, AR. Carter was born September 1, 1952, in Dumas to John L. Moore Sr. and Ardeneal Carter Moore. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother Johnny Moore, one son Curt Moore and one nephew Brian Moore.
Carter was a member of the Hopedale Missionary Baptist Church in Winchester. He was the class of 1970 at Dumas High School where he loved to play football and ran track, was an avid deer and duck hunter and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Carter was in the homebuilder business with his dad and brother for 37 years after retiring he farmed with his son for 10 years.
Survivors are his loving wife Janet Hill Moore of Dumas, Mother Ardeneal Moore of Dumas, one daughter Melissa Moore of Bryant, one sister Tina Byrd (David) of Dumas and six grandchildren: Hannah, Quinn and John Caleb Karr and Connor and Jackson Moore.
Visitation will be January 9, 2023, from 1:00-2:00pm with service following at 2:00pm both at Hopedale Missionary Baptist Church in Winchester with burial at Walnut Lake Cemetery with Rev.
