Alice Faye Hawkins Thornburg of Sheridan, Arkansas was born November 5, 1946 in Monticello, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Richard Ervin Hawkins and Lucia Coulter Woods. She enjoyed camping, going on vacations and traveling. She was a Correctional Officer for many years.
Ms. Thornburg died Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Sheridan Healthcare and rehab at the age of 74.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Frank Hawkins.
Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Mika and Terra Evans of Redfield; daughter, Jeanine Suzette McEntire of Winchester; brothers, Samuel (Shirley) Hawkins of Monticello, Paul (Laura) Hawkins of Tillar, Wayne (Gloria) Hawkins of Dumas, Fred Hawkins of Watson; sister, Jeanna (Don) Smith of Watson; sister-in-law, Marvella Hawkins of Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren, Jason Foote, Kevin Foote, Ray McEntire, Mika Evans, Kaylee Evans and 2 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A time of visitation will be Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan.
