Bryant Keith Meadows (Bobo) was born on Sunday, November 21, 1971, in Dumas, Arkansas to Howard T. Meadows Sr. and Eula Mae Phillips Meadows. Surrounded by his family, he departed this earthly life on Thursday, November 9, 2023, (exactly 31 years from the date of his maternal grandmother, Ella Mae Curry Phillips) at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Bryant confessed his life to Christ at an early age at Pleasant Hill #1 Missionary Baptist Church. He later attended and joined Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. William Williams, where he served as a deacon and was still attending until his health failed.
Bryant was raised and lived in Watson, Arkansas until his health began to fail and he moved to Little Rock, Arkansas and resided with his mother and baby sister. He attended and graduated from Delta High School in 1991. He was also a member of the Delta Warriors basketball team.
After completing high school, he entered the workforce enjoying his time at Central Wire, Arkansas Post, Arkansas Department of Corrections and Desha County Government. He loved working but his health forced him to quit. Although he was not able to work, he still found time to keep himself busy (he was constantly doing something). Bryant loved being outside and working outdoors, detailing cars, mowing the lawn, watching the animals, and piddling. Most importantly he loved watching sports, especially his favorite basketball team, the San Antonio Spurs, and favorite football team, the San Francisco 49ers. Most of all he loved being around his siblings and his nephews and nieces (especially those great nieces and nephews).
Even though he had health challenges he never complained about anything. He would often say “I’m not worry about anything--God got me.” He would then go back to doing what he was doing. After hearing those words, one could only respond with “you’re exactly right” or “Amen.” When asked how he was feeling, his response was always “I feel pretty good” or “I feel good.” There are many words that can be used to describe Bryant (Bobo), but the words that describes him the best are strong, courageous, and a fighter.
Bryant was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Louis Meadows Sr. and Mary Felix Meadows and his maternal grandparents, R.G. Phillips and Ella Mae Phillips.
