Glenda Ann Petty Reding, 76 of Tillar, Arkansas passed away January 5, 2021 at her home.  She was born July 22, 1944 in Star City, Arkansas to the late, William and Edith Day Petty.

Beloved wife of 58 years, mother, and grandmother Glenda…Anniversary January 5, 1963.

Glenda was a member of First Baptist Church in Dumas, Arkansas where she had taught Children’s Sunday School for several years. She retired from the State of Arkansas as Secretary of Personnel at Cummins Unit and Secretary at Riverside Vocational at Varner. She also served as a teacher aid and member of Sulphur Rock School Board and the former Mayor of Sulphur Rock, Arkansas.  Glenda was a member of several clubs in Dumas, the Dumas Business Women, Jefferson Friends Club, and Bunko Club. She was very active in the First Baptist Church, always willing to help wherever she was needed.

Survivors are her husband, Henry Reding of Tillar, Arkansas, one son Dr. Keith (Cindy) Reding of St. Louis, Missouri and one daughter, Kim (Keith) Bradshaw of Hot Springs, Arkansas, two brothers, Bill (Sandra) Petty of Dumas, Arkansas, and Larry (Sandra) Petty of McGehee, Arkansas and one sister, Jean Palsa of Tillar, Arkansas, three grandchildren, India (Nick) Gebel, Jacob Bradshaw and Kristi Bradshaw.

Graveside services were held 3:00 PM, Friday, January 8, 2021, Jefferson Cemetery, with Rev. Dubs Byers and Rev. Reuel Cruce officiating.  Memorials may be made to donor’s choice of charity.
