Larry Darnell Chaffin, 67, formerly of Dumas, died December 7, 2020 at Baptist Health.
He was born June 13, 1953 to the late Richard and Edell Chaffin, of Dumas.
Chaffin served as a Deacon at the First Missionary Baptist Church for over 35 years. He graduated from Dumas High School Class of 1973. He married Linda Criswell on November 19, 1983, and had two children. He held various jobs at Rheem Mfg company until his retirement.
He is preceded in death by his son, Aaron Hoyle; parents; siblings, Roosevelt Chaffin, Richard Chaffin, Jimmy Chaffin, Minnie Chaffin, Theodoris Thomas and Betty Baker.
Survivors include: wife: Linda Chaffin, his children: Sarah Union, Jepheth Chaffin, Laremy Chaffin, brothers: Clifton (Rock) Chaffin (Joyan) Dumas, Earnest Ray Chaffin Fort Smith, sisters: Versie Mae (Travis) Gibson of Dumas, Mae Ruth (Johnny) Washington of Pine Bluff Erma Baker of Kansas City KS, Jewell Freeman of Mitchellville, Madella ( Polly) Brown, Kansas City, KS, and Menda Mitchell of Dumas, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
