Ruth Elizabeth Johnson Gill, 105 of Dumas, Arkansas passed away March 29, 2023, in her home. She was born December 11, 1917, in Judsonia, Arkansas and was the daughter of the late William Lindsey Johnson and Josephine Simpson Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin Gardner Gill, three brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Gill was member of First Baptist Church in Dumas, where she taught Sunday school both children and women’s classes. She retired after forty-four and half years, at the age of 97, from the Dumas School District as a teacher's aid/para- pro.
Survivors are two sons, Mike (Susan) Gill, of West Monroe, Louisiana and Gary (Traci) Gil of Star City, Arkansas and daughter Marjory S. Gill of Dumas, Arkansas, sister Juanita Brill of Chantilly, Virginia, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Both visitation and funeral service held Saturday, April 2, 2023. First Baptist Church, Dumas, Arkansas. Visitation starting at 1 pm until service at 2 pm with Rev. Dubs Byers and Rev. Reuel Cruce officiating followed by interment in Walnut Lake Cemetery.
