The Dumas Bobcats advanced in the 2020 Centennial Bank State Class 3A football playoffs by defeating the Gosnell Pirates 36-30 Friday, November 27, 2020 at Tidwell Field in Dumas.
The game was highlighted by another outstanding performance from senior running back #3 Kylin James who went past the 2,000 yard mark for the season, now having rushed for 2,281 yards.
The Bobcats generated 388 total yards.
Passing:
Kennon Jones completed five of 14 pass attempts for 102 yards with one interception.
Receiving:
Tamarja Parker caught two passes for 28 yards, while Guillermo Petty caught one pass for 36 yards. Shamarcus Heard caught one pass for 23 yards.
Rushing:
Kylin James had 24 carries for 287 yards and scored five touchdowns.
Morlett Bolden gained four yards on one carry, while Jaylyne Jones had two carries.
Gosnell
The Pirates generated 382 yards.
Passing: #2 Cooper Pieri completed 11 of 27 attempts for 190 yards with two interceptions.
Rushing: #34 T. Anderson carried 36 times for 192 yards scoring two touchdowns.
The Bobcats travel to Springdale this week to take on the 1-4A, 9-1 Shiloh Christian Saints Friday, December 4, 2020 with kickoff set for 7 pm.
Shiloh Christian defeated Poteau, Oklahoma 34-28 to open the 2020 season. Then suffered their only loss this year, falling to Page, Oklahoma 27-26. The next eight games saw the Saints defeat Berryville 63-7; Praire Grove 42-28; Gentry 58-21; Elkins 48-28; Gravett 46-14; Huntsville 47-6; DeWitt 48-12 and last week Malvern 28-0.
