The Dumas Bobcats improved to 2-0 on the season, thumping the Lake Side Beavers, in just about every aspect of the game, 43-0 Friday, September 4, 2020 at Dumas.
Bobcat senior running back #3 Kylin James scored the contest's first point, on a 20 yard run at the 1:56 mark of the first quarter.
Senior kicker #20 Roman James kicked the extra point to make the score 7-0.
Midway through the second quarter, James carried the ball around the right side and sprinted 50 yards for a touchdown with 7:38 left in the first half. Roman James added the extra point to make the score 14-0.
On second down and eight yards, to go late in the second quarter, Bobcat sophomore running back #24 Brandon Johnson carried the ball 19 yards for a touchdown. Roman James kicked the PAT to extend the Bobcat lead to 21-0 with 1:35 to play in the second quarter.
With 1:18 to play in the half, the Dumas defense trapped a Beaver running back in the end-zone for a safety to make the score 23-0. The safety forced Lake Side to kick the ball to Dumas.
With only nine seconds left in the first half, Sophomore quarterback #8 Jase Bishop completed a three yard touchdown pass to James. The Beavers blocked the extra point to set the halftime score at 29-0.
At the 5:50 mark of the third quarter, facing a first and goal at the Lake Side five yard line, Johnson carried the ball in to scored his second touchdown of the game. Roman James kicked the PAT to extend the Dumas lead to 36-0
Kylin James scored his fourth touchdown of the contest, crossing the goal line from eight yards out with 10:04 to go in the game. With another Roman James extra point, the Bobcats set the final score at 43-0.

The Owls, who went 11-2 in 2019 finishing the 3-A 7 season as conference runner-up, return five starters on each side of the ball. They run the Wing T offense and line up in a 3-4 defense.
