The Desha County Sheriff Departments welcomed a new Team Member, Austin Freeman November 21, 2023. County Clerk Valerie Donaldson had the pleasure of swearing Deputy Freeman in on day one, of what they hope will be a long and rewarding career in Law Enforcement. Freeman was born and raised in Desha County, and is a graduate of Dumas High School.
