The Desha County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with Girl Scout Troop 1101 for a Thanksgiving food drive. The Girls Scouts will have food boxes that you can put non perishable food items in, located at Central Dispatch, Mad Butcher in Dumas, Wal Mart and Family Dollar in McGehee, Mad Butcher Dumas, Arkansas City Grocery Store, Desha County Clerk's Office Arkansas City, and the Dumas Clarion. The Desha County Sheriff Depart-ment will purchase hams to deliver along with the food items collected, to families that need the help, on November 24th, with the help of the Girl Scouts. If anyone feels moved to help, please place non perishable food items in the boxes at any of these locations.
