The Reed High School Class of 1969 donated a framed class photo to the Desha County Museum November 20, 2024.
The 21'x33' frame features the 1969 photo of graduating class and the 2024 Reunion celebrating the Class's 55th reunion.
The RHS Class of 1969 appreciates the Desha County Museum for their preservation of Dumas and Desha County history,” Doretha Hawkins said. “We are proud to be a part of the cherished memories of the community.”
The Class of 1969 has worked to preserve the history by establishing monuments and brick at the Dumas City Hall in honor of the former Reed School. The class also selects a student to receive a scholarship each year.
