THE LEGACY CENTER in West Dumas (home of City P.R.I.D.E. — Positive Results in Dumas Everyday) had a record-breaking line for GoFresh Food Distribution Thurs-day, March 4, 2021.
Over 1,000 families, all the schools plus hospital workers, the police department, etc., were able to receive healthy foods.
“People need love, food, higher education, and unity to inspire and equip them to go from many levels of stagnation in Rural Arkansas.”
REDI—Rural Economic Development Innovation Strategic Plan is about to be finalized and we will have great work to demonstrate the need for our new model at THE LEGACY CENTER in West Dumas. All of this is paving the way for Dumas to be regarded as a city that gives back to its residents as to nearby neighbors,” stated Rev. Arthur L. Hunt, Jr. CEO, The College of Aspiring Artists.
On Thursday, at 1pm, The College of Aspiring Artists which oversees the work is sending a distribution of over 1,000 food boxes to SEARK Community College to help students, families and the community during this pandemic. The administrators are overjoyed that SEARK will be the first campus in Pine Bluff to have this opportunity.
The distribution will be on the main campus of SEARK College. The address is 1900 S. Hazel. The parking lot behind College Hall is the distribution area and has plenty of space.
THE LEGACY CENTER has already serviced UAM in McGehee with an excellent review and likewise served over 1,000 families.
The next Dumas distribution will be announced next week.
