Christene Marie Lawrence Cupples, 86 of Gillett, Arkansas passed away January 27, 2022, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born April 25, 1935, in Benton, Arkansas the daughter of the late Jack Bathel and Recie Drye Lawrence. Her parents and husband John A Cupples, three brothers, one sister, three great grandchildren and one great great grandchild preceded her in death.
Mrs. Cupples was a member of Church of The Living God in Gillett; she was a retired salesclerk for Dorothy Woods Grocery store.
Survivors are two sons Bathel Allen Cupples, Sr of Dewitt, Arkansas, Paul Daniel Cupples, Sr of Gillett, Arkansas and four daughters Betty Pratt of Gillett, Arkansas Recie Miller of Dumas, Arkansas, Edith Marie White of Fortendale, Alabama and Dianna Oswalt of Gillett, Arkansas, brother, Gale Cleveland of Brinkley, Arkansas and two sisters, Alice Fellers of Dallas, Texas and Nancy Mooneyham of Dewitt, Arkansas, 25 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren.
Visitation held from 2-4 on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Griffin Funeral Home.
Funeral services held 2 PM on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Griffin Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Cupples, Jr officiating and burial following in Gillett Cemetery.
