Auther Ray Singleton Jr. 74 of Dumas, AR passed away August 19, 2022, in Dumas. He was born December 26, 1947, in Dumas, AR to the late Auther Ray Singleton Sr, and Fewel Rankin Singleton.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Jimmy Dale and Nick Singleton and one sister Claudetta Ricketts. Ray attended the Assembly of God Church and was retired from CenturyTel as C.O. Tech. Ray served his country in the United States Army from 1967-1969 as an SP5.
Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing and doing woodwork in his past time. He enjoyed his retirement and liked to stay busy. He was a family man, loved his children and grandchildren very much.
He is survived by his loving wife Sheila Singleton of Dumas, one son, Auther Ray Singleton III of Dumas, three daughters, Christina Singleton of Ontario, Canada, Autumn Singleton of Dumas and Lindsey Brown (Luke) of Dumas: one sister, Janetta Berry (James) of Dumas, one brother, Gary Singleton of Tennessee: seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, August 22, 2022, from 6:00-8:00pm and service Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at 11:00am both at Griffin Funeral Home in Dumas. Burial will follow service at Walnut Lake Cemetery, Pickens, Arkansas.
