On August 2, 2023, John Varnell from Union Pacific Railroad along with Steven Rice from "Hydrating Hometown Heroes” visited the Gould City Hall and provided the Gould Volunteer Fire Department with 10 cases of water. According to Varnell, UPRR has distributed water for the program over much of the State of Arkansas.
